The Day That Didn’t Begin

I remember going to bed, I had to be at work the next morning. I set the alarm on my phone and I set it on my nightstand. I was thinking too much to go to sleep so I found a link on YouTube for sleep hypnosis. The slow music began and the dull voice of a man started to speak.

“The night is upon us and we are welcoming it, we are feeling it submerge us…” the ocean sounds waved in and I out and was gone… I woke up and it was still still dark. My phone was hot in my hand and it read %100 charged and yet I could not move to pull the charger. I could not move at all. The light was still dull in the bedroom window but I could hear my husband on the phone. He was panicked,

“I got home at 6:15am, and she hasnt moved.” I heard him say. I was so drowsy. I woke up again in an ambulance. I saw paramedics holding up my arm to get the blood pressure cuff on, but I could not move. I was so tired. I woke up again in a bed, attached to wires and needles. I was so tired. I blinked exhausted, and I was in a coffin, my husband not quite making it before he started to sob.

I heard the earth pile on my coffin.

Finally, some peace and quiet, I woke up, yawned and tried to stretch, but I was buried.
